Now I know you’ve said before in multiple places that people have offered to make new worlds and such and basically you guys said we don’t need it yet because LU is by no means finished.
But here’s what I can contribute to the remaking of LU (whether it be LUNI, DLU, etc.)
I’ve had a tiny bit of experience with coding. Namely Java. But very little (Mostly coding Minecraft mods). So I don’t think you want me doing that.
Now I don’t know if anyone has read my profile bio but if you do you’ll see that I am an electronic music producer. Simply put: I write music. I’ve been doing so for about 2 years now so I’d like to think I’m getting much better at it.
Here’s my proposition: IF these amazing developers bring LU back fully, and then new worlds are created, I would gladly compose music for the new worlds.
You might be thinking several things; “This guy is 14 yrs old, I mean c’mon” “He said ‘Electronic Music.’ like a DJ, that’s completely different than a film/game score” etc.
First, if and when LU is fully restored, I will have gotten much better at music and will probably be older than 14. (In fact I’ll be 15 in May)
Second, if you go and listen to the original soundtrack for LU (It’s actually on this website under ‘Downloads’) there’s actually lots of electronic sounds in it.
Also, my mentor has actually composed a film score before and would gladly help me with this. I don’t want this to seem like an advertisement for my music so if you’d actually like to hear some of it let me know. I won’t put a link atm unless you really want me to. And not after I have permission.
To all the high and mighty devs, mods, admins, etc. out there, yes, I know you don’t need me right now, but I feel like I should be doing something to help instead of just sitting around impatiently waiting for LU to return. So this is just me letting anyone working on LU know that I am here and I can make music.
My only request is that you keep me in mind for the future.
Thanks for reading this extremely long and possibly boring post,
