I agree with what Mater said. The publicly expressed hate against other people for their opinions and motivations is saddening, if you dislike someone please leave your rants to other places. The fact that people are told to stop and completely ignore everything and wait is a bit ridiculous if they want to do something in the meantime.

what in the world are you talking about when you say „source code“ If you want to extract the client you can use the PKExtractor.

I’m not sure what else to do if you’ve set all that correctly. I’ll run through the steps for you here just to make sure.
1: Import the database.
2: Start luniserver.exe make sure it connects to database.
3: Register account.
4: In the server config.INI set to local host.
5: Set AUTH and PATCHSERVER IP’s to localhost.
6: Attempt to login.

Which version did you download?
Right click on LUNI server (Should be on the right side under „Solution Explorer“) while viewing the .sln in Visual Studio, go to properties, the C/C+++ and try disabling SDL checks.

0.5.1 is just world exploration, if you want to equip items etc you’ll need 0.8

Client doesn’t matter (As long as it’s a complete client e.g. Nexus2 or BlastClient), server version is what will change items equipping NPCs spawning etc.
