    Hello!

I thought this might be a fun discussion, if a bit technical, however. Don’t know how well this will take off.

So basically, I understand that in many games, graphical potential can usually be increased by modifying certain files in the client, more so than the default options given in-game. So I decided to do some digging in the client files, to see if I could spot anything interesting..

… And I wrote a long, 1000+ character write up on FXO and FXP files for the shader files, which I put hours of research into and it might not even give the result I am looking for, to no avail. Then I found \client\lwo.cfg.default. You can edit all them settings there. End of story. I shall say more later, maybe give a tutorial. Too tired now. Have fun!

Illegal. Lego has given us permission to code our own server, but we cannot change any client files. The most we have ever done is create a custom launcher.

Actually editing the lwo.cfg would just be like editing the boot.cfg. I don’t really see a problem there.

Yeah, I doubt they really care if you edit that.

Its too risky if you will change LU. This can branch off with the thought that “Oh look. He modified LU a bit, maybe I can.”
If you have the power to change the game, why not use that to help bring back original LU?

P.S. Tim. You NEED to update the tutorials page and add a news page so nobody keeps on asking whats current or what’s next.

@Lego-king you seem to be taking that a bit far. He’s just talking about make the graphics a bit better. As for the news page. It’s rather complicated how things are set up anymore. The LUNI server itself really isn’t updated. Which is what this website is. But their are people privately developing off the LUNI server for their public servers.

    Okay, back. Whew.

If the idea of playing around with the settings is too sketchy, I am perfectly fine with the thread being taken down and all. I was pretty much looking for the equivalent of Skyrim’s ini config settings, or just like Tim said, the boot.cfg file, not y’know, replacing, adding, or deleting textures and stuff in the game to some sorta HD LU.
