Sorry I do not know German. I just copied and pasted into Google translate.
At the moment there are no servers which allow you to create your own character and start from the beginning as you would when the game was run by LEGO. At some point in the future, DLU will come out with the most complete server. If you want the most up to date news on what they are doing, I suggest following them on there official twitter page (@darkflameuniv).
Hope you are able to understand my reply!
kee225ParticipantThe encryption method used by the server is reversible*, which can cause attacks like the one that happened to Jonny. You have to use another type of encryption that cannot be exploited in this manner.
*using a rainbow table.
kee225ParticipantUpdate on LUR end of things.
I’ve pretty much branched off from them. Currently they are working on more missing packets.
Since college has picked up I’ve slowed down my personal development. I am working on moving code around making it more readable and modular. I also an moving from MySQL to sqlite for databasing. This would also mean a new web interface for client use would need to be made. I plan on using web sockets and JavaScript to accomplish that. Once college slows down again, I’ll be more productive for this, but for now it’s on the back burner. Seeing as dlu will come out shortly, there really is no point to my effort, sadly. It is a fun project, but at some point, I may have to move on.
kee225Participant@wheresmymailbox Just download Visual Studio Community 2013 if you can. Run Visual Studio, then hit File->Open Project.
Go to where you have downloaded and extracted the LUNI source, and look the the vsproj file. It should be the only one that Visual Studio will let you open. Let it load in all the files, and you should be set. Keep in mind that the projects look as though they are in Italian!kee225Participant@kelvin_ as far as I know, you can join Egmo’s server as Jonny’s is down. He has npcs and static enemies. DLU should have a finished server in a little while.
kee225Participant@Timtech, yea. Is there anything else I can try that will fix the issue? Thanks!
kee225Participant@Timtech, thanks, but it didn’t work. What is funny is that it builds just fine, it just won’t run after I build it. It seems as though it has something to do with x86 as opposed to x64… Thanks for your feedback, you truly are awesome!
kee225Participantkee225ParticipantHey all,
I’m new, but I’ve followed the development of this for about a year. My biggest question is, as a potential developer, is it worth it to spend any time on this? Thanks
