There’s also Jonny’s Discord where a lot of discussion happens nowadays.
mater06ModeratorIt’s already been pretty quiet for the past months… But it’s still sad to see it go. Have a lot of memories, and it might be somewhat refreshing to be back on TTS. Anyway, thanks for the ride Tim and I hope to see you on DLU in the future. 🙂
mater06ModeratorMade it super sticky now 😉
mater06ModeratorI can say from experience that SoloLearn is very good at teaching C++. 🙂
mater06ModeratorNothing has really happened, except Jonny opened his server back up and Kendal leaving to work on DLU
mater06ModeratorLU Probably would have been much more popular on console. Of course, we can’t be sure of it because many people thought the game would blow up on PC, but I would have loved to see it ported…
P.S. @Lego king IIRC someone made it so you could play it on tablet by streaming the screen onto a tablet and using the built in keyboard…
mater06ModeratorMoved topic to the appropriate forum
mater06ModeratorDLU is very cryptic. It’s unknown to a lot of people except the developers of the server what is going on inside it. But Darwin (The main person developing DLU) uploaded a video on the progress that they were at.
LUNI wasn’t abandoned, it’s still being developed privately by many people. It was just proved to be too hectic or too much of a hassle to develop publicly.
If you want to help, learn the basics of C++, take a look at the documentaion, get into contact with a LUNI/DLU developer, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. There is nothing wrong with asking questions, DLU developer Xiphoseer got onto the DLU team by asking the original LUNI devs how the program worked. (Tell me if you’d like me to get you into contact with some on Skype.)
Yes, the Clients on this site are the full files (except I hear Nexus 2 is missing some audio files)
Hope that answers everything!

mater06ModeratorПривет мой друг! Никаких официальных серверов в настоящее время не работает прямо сейчас. Извини. Но новые серверы могут быть созданы в ближайшее время! 😀
Простите мой русский язык, это не самый лучший. 😛
mater06ModeratorI wish we could turn back time and not see Neal’s video on DLU. Then we would have not know of DLU.
I rarely ever talk about this, (because I was a complete idiot back then) but before Neal, I leaked DLU evidence, and after almost a year, I feel sorry that I most likely spun the LU community into anarchy. I never meant to intentionally leak the information out, but the point is, is that it happened. And I’m sorry to all DLU devs, LUNI devs, and the LU Community as a whole.
On another note, drama is becoming to prevalent in the LU community. The LU Community literally now looks like the YouTube community. And as much as I like these users, it makes me sick that Wicked, CDFalcon, myself, and others have done to the LU community. We have done significant damage. (Now DLU/former LUNI devs, I can hear you already getting ready to fire back it me because I’m aiding the “nabs”, but that’s the problem. You all are putting yourself on a pedestal making you seem elite to the rest of the LU community. You can have your opinions, just don’t voice them on a public forum.)
Anyway, to all the community reading this still, the best advice I can give you is just leave this site and the LU community for 6 months and come back every now and then for progress. Your losing valuable time in your life that can be used for anything, and your waiting for a game.
I’m not trying to discourage you for being excited about the server, just, I don’t know, maybe just take a break.
TL;DR: Let’s leave for a bit.
mater06ModeratorThis is…
Actually, pretty cool.
mater06ModeratorLast but not least, when you learn at least C++, look at the LUNI documentation here:
This explains the way different parts of the LUNI source code works.
Hopes this helps developers!
mater06ModeratorFirst of all, DLU is a closed source project and is not using the original LUNI source. I think even some of DLU’s own developers don’t have the source! (Though I may be wrong. DLU devs, correct me.) Also, for two different servers to work together, first they’d have to merge into one server. Which is a lot of work, (it’s even more work though to have two different servers and teams to work together.)
Plus, everyone on each team would have to agree with a decision.
If you can figure out a way for Ion and LUR to merge, by all means, do it. Just don’t be surprised if it doesn’t work.
