PirateroninParticipant
I borrowed a friend’s computer to try and render a sketch image. Unfortunately, Blender’s rotation feature has mysteriously locked itself, and I didn’t have time to get the “Emit” function to emit at the proper color levels, so the sketch image was a wash. Here’s a brief description of how it should have turned out – does it sound promising, or it is overcomplicated?
A basic minifig, glowing (hopefully transparent) blue like the Mythrans did, wearing a red construction helmet with a orange rim, holding a pirate cutlass with a glowing blue edge in his right hand, and a silver katana in his left. On his chest, there’s a standard LEGO armor piece, colored dark blue, with LUNI in capital yellow letters in the center, like a crest.
I was trying to include something easily recognizable from all four factions. (Hard hat=Assembly, Cutlass=Venture League, Katana=Paradox, Knight’s Armor=Sentinel.)

PirateroninParticipantMy apologies if the following post in any way exhibits any air of passive agressitivity.
“MY point is we are both not being promoted.”
Again, you seem to think I was querying for some sort of random promotion. I was trying, as politely as I knew how, to ask @Timtech and the other moderating staff, if and where would be the best place to send an application/resume for possible consideration as a moderator. Tim responded – and please, @Timtech, correct me if any of this is wrong – that although they were not looking for moderators at the moment, if the other moderators considered additional staff a wise idea, “we can see”, leaving the matter more or less up to the other moderators.
And you have not even contributed to this project.
As I have clarified in my prior post, this is simply because my current computer situation does not allow for LUNI to be played. It does however allow for forum work.
My main point is stay here we are all equal and you can contribute here just by answering questions correctly just like moderators have to do. Have fun.
Indeed. However, instances do pop up on occasion, where a member steps out beyond the boundaries, and if the staff were increased, particularly the forum staff, having additional members with actual clout, to help smooth/deal with the situation, whose responsibilities are based around the forum, would quite clearly save hassle for the more technologically oriented moderators, leaving them more time to work on the greater, non-forum based project. 🙂

PirateroninParticipant@Timtech Of course. 🙂
@Lego king:Looked at a forum
Well, yes, I kind of had to look at a forum, in order to post on it. 😉
“not played LU”
Actually, I was a beta tester for LU, in addition to many hours of normal play – I didn’t bring it up because I assumed we’d all played LU, and because beta testing had nothing to do with moderating.
“Moderator for something that is NOT LUNI so that doesn’t matter”
Forum moderation is really very much the same the world around. I was asking if I might apply for forum moderation, not in-game moderation.
“I just don’t want this part of the site to turn in a Promote me.END OF DESCUSSION, PERIOD.”
Quite right, and I remember that problem existing heavily during the era of LU recreation projects. However, skills are needed, and my only applicable experience skill-sets lie in forum and discussion board management, whereas many of the other moderators have experience with c+ and the game’s coding – experience that isn’t put to use whenever they have to spend time moderating these boards. Thus, wanting to aid the project in any way possible, and seeing a way I actually could aid them I quietly asked if and where I might send an application for consideration.
PirateroninParticipantI have followed the project eagerly for quite a few months now, although my post count has been rather low since my computer unfortunately does not support LUNI. To whom/where would be the best place to email for consideration as a moderator, something my computer does support? I have had experience on other sites with mediation, some level of moderation*, and RPG quest hosting on two different sites.
*It’s a sub-forum, without any “ban” powers, but I still run it and serve as a moderator.
