Let’s see how it turns out.
Make sure you downloaded 0.5.1 Release and have extracted it and run the exe before connecting from the client.
Hey @Egmo, nice to see that you managed to fix your server. I added it back into the public servers widget and made sure that your old URL reborn.luniserver.com still works 🙂
Make sure that in boot.cfg you have AUTHSERVERIP=0:localhost,
and PATCHSERVERIP=0:,
Also when you are running 0.5.1 make sure it is on when you try to connect and you could make sure that in config.ini you have redirect_ip=localhost
And @zuze, there should be no problems with where you live.
I removed some off topic posts and re-opened this topic, please try to stay on the topic of the Ion Universe public server.
Reminds me of Steve Barker from the timtechsoftware.com days.
Perhaps you meant to access http://reborn.luniserver.com/UniverseLauncher/
Although the web interface is online, it appears that the LUNI server itself has been down for a while, so you can’t play LEGO Universe Reborn right now, and for the foreseeable future.
From what I have gathered, the original client provided Mac support via TransGaming’s Cider VM, which is similar to Wine.
Interesting, although I don’t have a Mac.
You’re right, the public servers widget is misleading since LUReborn’s CMS is still active but the server is not up. I’ll fix that now.
Norton gives some false positives; if you downloaded it from http://www.bittorrent.com/downloads/win and didn’t accidentally click on an ad, you should be OK. Or you could try another client like qBittorrent.
Uhh, I’m merging this into the closed topic, not sure why this one was closed anyway.
You shouldn’t be angry at Egmo… I’m pretty sure he didn’t do the spam, more likely someone else making fun of him. His server was respectable, yet he has become the scapegoat for LUNI’s failures, it seems.
