@TimTech, Matt told me to tell you some things he wanted to say.
«You can tell TimTech that I don’t forgive him for not respecting privacy.
While Raffa and Tim were both idiots, neither of them are right to this day.
Honestly, LUNI needs to die.
The server development, that is.
It’s not doing anything.
I mean like, that ship has sailed – it’s too late for any of them now.
And you said he uploaded a cracked version of LW?
I didn’t care about that to be honest, but seriously… like really.
He said I was taking things overboard.
Also, Egmo shouldn’t run a server, cause Kendal wants to leave and noone knows anything
He doesn’t get anything out of it.
So all in all, you destroyed the community.
That’s what you can say for me.»enero 28, 2016 a las 4:41 pm #3305WincentParticipanteI don’t won’t luni to die… I love luni.
enero 28, 2016 a las 4:55 pm #3306Lego kingParticipanteLUNI shall not die. Right now it’s the only way for everyone to play lego universe. (Everyone that’s not in DLU) Honestly we don’t know if and when DLU will be done. We won’t even get the files to DLU so LUNI shall stay.

enero 29, 2016 a las 3:38 pm #3334TimtechSuperadministradorLUNI is and will probably still be the only open source server available for LEGO Universe…
enero 29, 2016 a las 7:15 pm #3345EgmoParticipanteAgreed, also I’m about done with people insulting my server, I’m trying my hardest to keep it up and moderate it. People are just so ignorant.
enero 29, 2016 a las 9:25 pm #3348Prodigy_XDBloqueadoI agree with you Egmo. People are extremely ignorant these days… They don’t care how much work is put into stuff and they don’t give any credit and it’s just sad. All we are trying to do is restore LU to its original glory but some people are too ignorant to care about how much work is put into this. But just keep up the good work and hopefully all will go well!

enero 30, 2016 a las 12:00 am #3351FrostyCloudParticipanteSo uh, why did this have to go public if this was just for Tim? While we as a community should be open towards each other, this all looks like unnecessary drama the entire community doesn’t need to see, causing a fuss among ourselves, and more «LUNI is dead/needs to die» spam.
LUNI, from what I understand, is a fundamental server and client file hosting location, with a go-to forum on the project idea in general, as DLU news seems to be done here from time to time as well, even if not intentional or official.
I haven’t seen a single other website that unites all of these LEGO Universe fans wanting to see it restored under a common location. For LUNI to die as a whole would be the last thing we would want in interest of keeping the community alive. For example, DLU, the group as a whole, may not want to be bothered by the fans while they are working on their server files, understandably so, but, when they are ready, fans need to be able to go somewhere to know that they are ready, or else nobody but the developers who made it possible will know it is (or if it is) done, minus a few in-the-loop dedicated followers, and close friends. And LUNI is pretty much it, from what I’ve seen, as there is no DLU website that I know of, yet.
enero 30, 2016 a las 4:12 pm #3361PandaBramParticipanteYeah, I agree with you. I haven’t played LU since it shut down.
enero 31, 2016 a las 4:49 am #3366BecoolParticipanteLU will never die! That is in the next few years after it is fully released. Btw if anyone starts to notice a huge ramp up in users, that would be because I have been going around and advertising it on all of those ‘rip LU’ vids.
enero 31, 2016 a las 5:20 am #3367XiphoseerModeradorI agree throwing insults is pointless. It is just making me sick that all these enthusiastic guys here praise the «community» and people that give them access to their beloved game over those who make it work. Egmo needed my help at the time to even get the server working. He has «fixed» some code but as far as I know only Kendal and Alanzote have done some progress. And Timtech once said he barely contributed 100 lines.
I spent more than a month of my life working on LUNI nearly everyday, implementing the multiplayer, chat, mail, worldtravel and character creation in LUNI fully and showed it to the public because I care about LU.
Now there are people like @Becool again, who run around praising luniserver.com for this progress. Yes, as a common place to find out about LU it’s acceptable, but it does not represent those who worked on it.
Even then, it actually is at least oartially Knightoffaiths success that we have this dedicated site instead of timtechs personal page. And actually there was a forums on sourceforge being used regularly until Raffa ragequit.
I ask you all to keep in mind and to communicate clearly, that you need to respect those who do the work or you’ll constantly hinder progress.
And lastly: I do believe Timtech and Egmo have good intensions. I just hate the trail of chaos they leave behind.
enero 31, 2016 a las 1:56 pm #3385TimtechSuperadministradorThanks for your post @Xiphoseer, and I encourage all of you to check out what you might call «the real heroes of LUNI«.
enero 31, 2016 a las 9:24 pm #3393jon002ModeradorI totally agree with Xipho. While I understand there is somewhat of a rift between many developers, I agree that insults are pointless. We all have the same goal here: to play LEGO Universe again one day. I understand that there may be a rift between people from different teams (Egmo vs. DLU comes to mind) but I want to clarify that not everyone agrees with these differences.
While one of Egmo’s dev may have hacked a server (not pointing fingers), he is the only public server ATM, something that we are technically unable to do right now. We, on the other hand, while private, are such for a reason – in fact, we actually have a lot going on that I am excited to share (hopefully soon). But we haven’t been distracted by a community either.
I really want to make a point here – LUNI and DLU are completely different projects. DLU is a development team working on recreating a server for a game. LUNI is simply a community of fellow LEGO Universe players that all are excited to hear that there is a team recreating the game. I like to view it as a company and a fanbase – When Destiny was in the works, little was known about it, but that didn’t stop people from becoming excited and forming communities around it. It’s the same here – yes, one day (hopefully in the very near future) we will begin to release some of what we have made. That is our goal – LU is an MMORPG, after all. But until then, insults are completely pointless.
Answer the Call. Save Imagination.
