Hello LUNI Community,
After some discussion with the moderators, I have come to the decision to close the forums on March 1. As many of you may know, development on the LUNI server stopped some months ago, with most of our developers joining the Darkflame LEGO Universe project (darkflameuniverse.org). It has only become more evident with the launch of the website and the closed Alpha that DLU is on the forefront of the effort to recreate LEGO Universe.
So, with this in mind, these forums will be closing on March 1, 2017, after which you will be unable to log into your user accounts. All other aspects of the site will still be fully accessible, including file downloads and translated content.
I want to reiterate how thankful I am for your support. LUNI has always been a community project, with over 20.000 users registered (5.000 forum participants) all-time* who posted approximately 20.000 times. Additionally, the LUNI Server Project’s websites have received over 1.000.000 views and transferred more than 100 TB of data via HTTP, FTP, and torrents.
On a more personal note, I want to thank all of the developers, moderators, and translators who have contributed to the LUNI Server Project. I could not have maintained the quality of this site without the help of the moderators (Jon002, Kittyjumpyphone, Knightoffaith, Live, mater06, Xiphoseer, XYQuadrat, and formerly HappyAngryCatfish and Jonny), many of which have spent more time than I have on this site in the past few months. Nor could I have translated the content of this site into German and Spanish without the help of translators (which are noted on the individual pages that they helped to translate).
Finally, and most importantly, I want to thank the developers who really made the server into what it is today (including humanoid24, Jon002, lcdr, pwjones, raffa, Jonny, Xiphoseer, and others). Looking back, I am ashamed at the amount of credit I took for hosting your work and how often I put my priorities over yours (and I don’t want to make the same mistake now with DLU). I have been truly privileged to serve as the sole webmaster of the LUNI Server Project for almost four years now.
Overall, this project has been a rocky road that would have been possible without me, but not without you all. Thank you.

febrero 21, 2017 a las 8:44 pm #7343TimtechSuperadministradorFeel free to leave replies to this topic, and for those who are wondering, I will be reopening a page on TimTechSoftware.com as a sort of LUNI veteran chat. It will not be for providing support, but more focused on discussing old memories and such. I suppose LEGO King will get his final wish after all… 🙂
febrero 22, 2017 a las 11:15 am #7347HappyAngryCatfishCommunity HelperSad to see the forums are closing, but I suppose it makes sense with the dwindling activity. Anyway, it’s been a ride and we haven’t always gotten along but thanks for hosting all of this here Tim.
febrero 22, 2017 a las 11:44 am #7349mater06ModeradorIt’s already been pretty quiet for the past months… But it’s still sad to see it go. Have a lot of memories, and it might be somewhat refreshing to be back on TTS. Anyway, thanks for the ride Tim and I hope to see you on DLU in the future. 🙂
febrero 22, 2017 a las 5:23 pm #7355XJAGYTParticipantethis is so sad to see this go…

febrero 22, 2017 a las 5:45 pm #7358averysumnerParticipante@Timtech I think you mean
LU Rebuild by Alanzote
notLU Reborn
.febrero 23, 2017 a las 8:44 pm #7366TimtechSuperadministradorThanks for your positivity everyone (and to @averysumner for pointing out my mistake). To answer your second question, @XJAGYT, I will open up a page for LUNI veterans at TimTechSoftware.com (where LUNI used to be hosted) where you will be able to talk through the comments section, just like in the old days. It wouldn’t have to be restricted to LUNI, so you could also talk about DLU or even topics completely unrelated to LU. I just think it would be a nice way to wind down and still maintain what’s left of the community.
