So can I say I signed it and agree with it? Sorry just new to these forums just came from tim’s site.
septiembre 28, 2015 a las 11:24 pm #1088XiphoseerModerador@Lego king, by posting anything anywhere, you are required to have read and understood the rules. Signing the rules is for moderators agreeing to enforce the rules.
septiembre 29, 2015 a las 5:42 pm #1097Lego kingParticipanteSo would it be possible for me to be promoted (through testing and stuff like that) to be a moderator or maybe something a little lower to help people on the forums and enforce the rules?
BTW if you have not seen my youtube videos they are here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvFtkAn80R6Mbl4Q_aehtfz-_jt10sjBT
Soon I will show an FAQ video, an info/history video, 0.6.3 server download and setup video, and weekly world reviews that have already been recorded.septiembre 29, 2015 a las 7:28 pm #1101TimtechSuperadministradorIf you want to make LUNI tutorials for my chancel that would be appreciated 🙂

octubre 1, 2015 a las 1:15 pm #1115PirateroninParticipanteI have followed the project eagerly for quite a few months now, although my post count has been rather low since my computer unfortunately does not support LUNI. To whom/where would be the best place to email for consideration as a moderator, something my computer does support? I have had experience on other sites with mediation, some level of moderation*, and RPG quest hosting on two different sites.
*It’s a sub-forum, without any «ban» powers, but I still run it and serve as a moderator.

octubre 1, 2015 a las 5:54 pm #1120TimtechSuperadministrador@Lego king No rush, that sounds perfect.
@Pirateronin Although I am the head admin of this site, I like to think myself as just a moderator. I don’t think we are promoting moderators right now, but I may be wrong. If more than half of the moderators think promotions are a good idea, we can see 🙂 we’re just not promoting people in general right now.octubre 1, 2015 a las 7:48 pm #1130Lego kingParticipanteDeleted for violating rules, taking up too much space on a useful topic and the grammar hurts my eyes.

octubre 1, 2015 a las 9:02 pm #1131PirateroninParticipante@Timtech Of course. 🙂
@Lego king:Looked at a forum
Well, yes, I kind of had to look at a forum, in order to post on it. 😉
«not played LU»
Actually, I was a beta tester for LU, in addition to many hours of normal play – I didn’t bring it up because I assumed we’d all played LU, and because beta testing had nothing to do with moderating.
«Moderator for something that is NOT LUNI so that doesn’t matter»
Forum moderation is really very much the same the world around. I was asking if I might apply for forum moderation, not in-game moderation.
«I just don’t want this part of the site to turn in a Promote me.END OF DESCUSSION, PERIOD.»
Quite right, and I remember that problem existing heavily during the era of LU recreation projects. However, skills are needed, and my only applicable experience skill-sets lie in forum and discussion board management, whereas many of the other moderators have experience with c+ and the game’s coding – experience that isn’t put to use whenever they have to spend time moderating these boards. Thus, wanting to aid the project in any way possible, and seeing a way I actually could aid them I quietly asked if and where I might send an application for consideration.
octubre 1, 2015 a las 9:12 pm #1132Lego kingParticipanteMY point is we are both not being promoted. And you have not even contributed to this project. Btw i made a typo i did not mean to say «not played LU» I was going to say: not played LUNI. My main point is stay here we are all equal and you can contribute here just by answering questions correctly just like moderators have to do. Have fun.
octubre 2, 2015 a las 12:08 am #1137PirateroninParticipanteMy apologies if the following post in any way exhibits any air of passive agressitivity.
«MY point is we are both not being promoted.»
Again, you seem to think I was querying for some sort of random promotion. I was trying, as politely as I knew how, to ask @Timtech and the other moderating staff, if and where would be the best place to send an application/resume for possible consideration as a moderator. Tim responded – and please, @Timtech, correct me if any of this is wrong – that although they were not looking for moderators at the moment, if the other moderators considered additional staff a wise idea, «we can see», leaving the matter more or less up to the other moderators.
And you have not even contributed to this project.
As I have clarified in my prior post, this is simply because my current computer situation does not allow for LUNI to be played. It does however allow for forum work.
My main point is stay here we are all equal and you can contribute here just by answering questions correctly just like moderators have to do. Have fun.
Indeed. However, instances do pop up on occasion, where a member steps out beyond the boundaries, and if the staff were increased, particularly the forum staff, having additional members with actual clout, to help smooth/deal with the situation, whose responsibilities are based around the forum, would quite clearly save hassle for the more technologically oriented moderators, leaving them more time to work on the greater, non-forum based project. 🙂

octubre 2, 2015 a las 12:19 am #1140HappyAngryCatfishCommunity Helper@LegoKing if Pirateronin wishes to apply to moderator that is his business not yours. You do not have a right to say yes or no. You squabbling in this childish argument where you are scared someone else may get moderator over you further proves you aren’t ready for any such of position. This thread wasn’t made so you could personally attack people for asking something that is violating the rules. Now I will kindly ask you both to stop arguing.
octubre 2, 2015 a las 12:32 am #1143HappyAngryCatfishCommunity HelperI typed out a paragraph or so on thoughts of people being promoted to moderator but I accidentally deleted it because I’m on my phone. 😛 So long story short I don’t really think we need more mods because we really don’t have that many people posting. Maybe 2-3 topics that require help on the average day. You don’t even have to be a moderator to answer these questions. Moderators outside of helping with small things are mainly here just to keep things clean which has only really happened with one user.
octubre 2, 2015 a las 6:44 am #1157XiphoseerModeradorI moved the discussion part of the rules thread here, that other topic should not be used for discussion.
@LegoKing: I hope you realize that by telling others off you have not presented yourself in a favorable way.I have been pulled into an argument against LegoClub that @Knightoffaith thankfully stopped. What I learned is the following:
No discussion should happen with people assuming moderator authority when they aren’t or simply opposing moderators decisions. This behaviour is not welcome and without sane arguments the offending person will never have any credibility and it’s statements are not valid so they don’t need to be followed. There’s no need for any further discussion in most cases.
On a last note to @LegoKing: moderators don’t have to answer questions correctly, it’s not our job to be the support line. We are here to keep the discussion sane and friendly.
octubre 2, 2015 a las 6:42 pm #1175Lego kingParticipanteId like to say guys I screwed up. I knew the second i asked. so i think the best would me to take a break again just like in the summer. (I will still make youtube vids and show up sometimes) All i wanted to do was contribute to the project and to do that in the way i want to I should leave and come back when i get something done.
@Xiphoseer can you delete this topic here please. It takes up too much space.
@HappyAngryCatfish
