    Is your page powered by WordPress?

    @kee225 If you’d like, I can make a subforum here for your server, where people can ask questions and you could pin a help page to save you the trouble of doing so on your own site.

    @TheJayGaming
    First, to play LEGO Universe on any server, you have to download the client (I recommend Nexus 2) from the downloads page on this site and extract the files. To run the game, you’ll have to execute client\legouniverse.exe. But don’t do that yet, because you have to configure a few things first in a file called «boot» in your «client» folder. It may show up as boot.cfg if you don’t have file extensions hidden.

    Once you’ve downloaded the client, there are two types of servers you can connect to. First, there are locally-hosted servers, which are typically run by yourself on your own computer in order to test the game or play in singleplayer(-ish) mode. If you run your own server (I recommend 0.5.1 if you’re new), you should edit boot.cfg so that AUTHSERVERIP=0:localhost, in order to connect once your server is running. Also, there are a few public servers available, which are hosted by other people but offer free registration to everyone.

    To connect to a public server, you should first choose one that is online. To do so, scroll to the bottom of this page, or any page on this site, and look at the list of Public Servers. Click on any server that is currently online to get redirected to its site, where you can sign up. Once you’ve signed up, make sure to edit boot.cfg so that AUTHSERVERIP=0:(their IP address),. Just so you know, the IP address can be a domain name, so for Project Pluto, you could type AUTHSERVERIP=0:kee225.com,.

    As a side note, if you want to play in English, make sure in boot.cfg that LOCALE=en_US,. Other default locales include en_GB for British English and de_DE for German. With the LU Translator, you can add another eight languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Russian, Dutch, Malay, and Filipino), but that is a separate process, and those languages are not included by default.

    Now that you’ve configured everything in boot.cfg, you can run client\legouniverse.exe to connect to the server. Make sure to log in with the same username and password that you signed up with. For locally hosted servers of version 0.5.1 and below, you can use any username and password to authenticate. For public servers, make sure that you’ve signed up and that the server is online when you try to connect.
