1. I followed the instructions on the «Download» part of this website to the best of my ability. One inconsistency is that when I downloaded the LUNI server 0.5.1 I couldn’t extract the files. As in, it didn’t need to be extracted and I couldn’t find anywhere to hit «Extract» as I did with the BlastClient. I doubt that this is actually an issue.
2. So, that’s the first issue but I don’t even know if this matters. I can actually get LEGO Universe running and am able to get to where you put in a username and password and sign in to play, this is farther than I’ve ever gotten from past attempts to play LU again. The problem: When I try to log in ( using any username and password ) it says «Sorry, could not sign you in to LEGO Universe.» In Boot.cfg I have AUTHSERVERIP=0:localhost and PATCHSERVERIP=0:
noviembre 7, 2016 a las 9:02 pm #6983Stevorino33ParticipanteAlso, I haven’t tried to log in to Jonny’s server because I can’t find out what the IP is so I can edit Boot.cfg accordingly. Someone please tell me what it is and/or if I’m missing something.
noviembre 7, 2016 a las 9:34 pm #6984Stevorino33ParticipanteI just looked at the FAQ and read the part addressing the problem I am having. However, I don’t know how to check if the «console window» is running to be able to see if the server is running. I don’t know how to check if the server launched by checking that there was no MYSQL error. I don’t know how to look at the server threads to read messages like «World started! Listening on: 2003». I AM able to check that the client connects to the server because at the bottom of the log-in screen I see «Server IP: localhost» I either need to know how to access these things or be informed that I don’t see them because they aren’t there. Sorry for unloading so much information and expecting people to help, but it seems like you’ve been VERY helpful for anyone else requesting assistance.
noviembre 7, 2016 a las 10:08 pm #6985AnonymousParticipanteTo connect to a localhost server, you need to run the luniserver.exe file. This will launch a console window that should say things like «World started! Listening on: 2002». If you’re still not able to extract the file, this will be impossible.
Also, I recommend you to use Jonny’s server. Just click on the green link at the bottom of the page that says «Jonny’s Server online». That will take you to his login page, which you should register an account. Then, login. Go to Forums in the toolbar, then click on the topic «[INFO] How to join this server», and follow the instructions.
I hope this answers your question.noviembre 8, 2016 a las 10:31 pm #6990Stevorino33ParticipanteThank you, first of all. I have registered for Jonny’s server. But I can’t follow the instructions on those forums he explicitly says that the instructions only work for Windows and I’m on mac. And, unfortunately, I can’t seem to run the luniserver.exe file. I’ve tried opening it with File Helper and Wine. I suppose this is because it isn’t extracted but I can’t figure out how to extract it. I’ve tried doing it with Wine Bottler but it doesn’t work. ( Mac can’t run .exe files )
noviembre 9, 2016 a las 7:28 pm #6998AnonymousParticipanteI don’t have experience with using Mac, but if you put «lu.jonnyvps.de» instead of «localhost» in Authserverip, you should be able to connect to Jonny’s server.
Best of luck!noviembre 9, 2016 a las 7:58 pm #7000Stevorino33ParticipanteOkay! I’ll give it a try, thanks!
noviembre 9, 2016 a las 8:12 pm #7001Stevorino33ParticipanteOkay, this time it was different when I tried to join Jonny’s Server, it said, «Submitting username…Handshaking with (?) world…» and then something else, and then it said «Sorry! No record of that username or password.» So, this leads me to think that something is wrong with whatever enables me to put ANY username and password and have it work.
noviembre 9, 2016 a las 10:44 pm #7002AnonymousParticipanteSorry, I should have been more specific.
Jonny uses a developer’s server, 0.8, that has been modded. You need to sign in with the username and password you registered with.
So, if I registered with «example» and «password» for the username and password, I would need to put in «example» and «password» to login to the client.
Good luck!noviembre 12, 2016 a las 3:43 pm #7018TimtechSuperadministradorYou need to use the exact username and password from when you registered. Only server versions 0.5.1 and below allow you to put any username and password.
