It seems to be throwing a message of «Sorry, your registration failed. Please go back and try again.» ?
PirateroninParticipanteThis is well put, and worth the reading.
That being said…as a long time member of the LU community, under one nickname or another…every project, every reboot, every everything, has always been «just around the corner.». DLU certainly seems to be farther ahead than most of them, but until we see an actual gameplay video, I can see why people would be more interested in making servers than in waiting. «A bird in the hand,» etc.
PirateroninParticipanteA little bit dark – that’s the Forbidden Valley for you! – but…:

PirateroninParticipanteProdigy: How will we know when sign-ups have opened? What site should people be watching?
PirateroninParticipanteSo is egmos server online/up?
No. If a server is online, the status message next to its name will be green, and read «online».

PirateroninParticipanteP.S: This is a CLOSED EVENT. You must be invited, and we are trying to keep the players below 10.
I imagine «You must be invited,» translate to ‘Invitation only,’ and ‘no asking for an invite, that’s the surest way to make sure you don’t get one’? 😉
Either way, looks great, and thanks for hosting it!
PirateroninParticipanteAre there any other sites you have an account on? I’d like to send you a PM, but this site doesn’t support that.
PirateroninParticipanteI’m afraid I’ve never heard of either of them. It was people like jammester, and Flipz, who were famous in my neck of the woods.
PirateroninParticipante1. Okay, so what changed?
Timtech released the project as Open Source, and gave us all hope that the game wasn’t dead. This understandably caused rifts in the community, as some people wanted it to stay Open Source, and others wanted to go back to Closed Source.
3. People wouldn’t know about it without the Youtubers, correct? I’m saying if they completely closed it off like the vibe I am getting right now. If I am misguided, then let me know. It’s what I’m getting from everyone on here so far.
Actually, I came here via the original Timtech site, as I’m sure a lot of us did. But yes, this plan is to «close it off to the public,» until the game is, hopefully, more complete than it is now.
4. Okay, cool. The only reason I voiced this is because from the initial reading of these threads, I don’t get that kind of vibe.
Probably because a large majority of the people that pass through here tend to be n00bs, and the community treats them as such.
5. Again, didn’t get that vibe from whatever posts/threads were on this site. I assumed that there was no communication whatsoever. Things could be handled better on here to resolve that, but I’ll take it as it is.
I’m not part of DLU, but I’m certain they have plenty of communication between the members of the team. This site is too public for them to really use as an effective communication board.
The development progress is very quiet yes. There will be a public server when it’s done.
If it gets done. Projects that go into closed source tend to die off. They just do. And that’s what concerns me about this – that it’s more likely to die, if it goes into closed source, and whether or not going into closed source will really benefit development that much…
PirateroninParticipante1. 3-4 a week? There have been people with 100 posts a day.
A 100 posts is a bit on the exaggerating side – I don’t remember it getting that bad even back on Timtech’s main site, before luniserver.com.
2. It feels abusive for a dev if people always only want more.
So…Developers…are being abused if people expect them to develop?
I do get what you’re saying here, but there’s also some legitimate sentiment behind the point.
7. People have tried open projects. And the people here shows it’s worth nothing at all. Go learn some LUNI backstory.
…Yeah, we have the first real progress on remaking LU since it closed down – and the majority of the servers opened after luniserver.com became a thing. That’s a definite failure if I ever saw one…
PirateroninParticipanteI sent an email and received a response that also didn’t give the usual “LU is permanently retired” response. It is interesting but not enough to start waiting for LU to return from LEGO.
Interesting…I wonder if LEGO, now that they’ve started to branch out a bit more, and after the failure of LEGO Minifigures Online, is starting to look back into the feasibility of a financially stable LEGO Universe. From what I’ve seen, if they had just dropped the property building – something that only the «builders» were really into – and stuck with the MMORPG side, they would have been just fine…*
*They were having to moderate every property for…inappropriate imagery, shall we say, and with all of the properties, and all of the ways people were apparently finding to hide the stuff…well, all those mods checking properties just cost too much to be feasible. At least from LEGO’s inexperienced, fresh-to-MMORPGs viewpoint.
PirateroninParticipanteI’m just happy that we’ve actually gotten the Universe working. Back during the chaos immediately after the closing, we had nothing like this, and our replacements were…lacking at best. Now, we have the actual game worlds and character creation functioning. I’m fully content to sit back and wait.

PirateroninParticipanteMiedo yo, para que todo lo que puedo ofrecer es el poder de Google Translate …
PirateroninParticipanteStripping it down to basics:
Basic armor, with a basic font.
Different font, with photo edited to create appearance of texture on armor.(Obviously, the final version would have the logo actually rendered, these are just some mock-ups I made with the tools I had available.)

PirateroninParticipante….Aaaand in reflection, I realize that yes, it is definitely overcomplicated. -_-
Back to the drawing board…
