Well @chooksta0 the HTML skill is used in web-based interfaces like the UniverseLauncher, the web-based CMS/GUI that is used for easy registration of accounts and for other things related to a specific UniverseServer which is usually on the same IP.
TimtechSuperadministradorWelcome to the community, FrostyCloud! I’m glad you found us 🙂 we definitely understand that new users usually don’t have coding abilities, which is fine. You don’t even need to help us at all, but spreading the word is a great way to start.
TimtechSuperadministradorI don’t think I ever got too much feedback about the forum structure. Having an off-topic for LU or for LEGO/computer-related stuff seems like a good idea. If we were to add this, I think it would go best as a subforum under the «General Discussion» forum. What do you think?
TimtechSuperadministradorThe only new thing is the MySQL requirement which is needed for further development. Although it was a step in the right direction, there’s not too much real progress in the versions of 0.6.x except that you can save your character, do some basic chatting, and travel via the launchpads.
TimtechSuperadministradorWhat languages do you know? You might be able to translate something. Also, if you know C++ you can develop directly. We also have some things in HTML/CSS/JS/PHP and Xiphoseer’s patcher is in VB. You could also torrent the client and leave it seeding for others to download.
Other than that, just attracting people to the project is enough.
TimtechSuperadministradorSo you are trying to connect to a local server, make sure 0.5.1 is running with auth/char/world started before launching client\legouniverse.exe and make sure first that client\boot.cfg (it will just say boot if you have file extensions hidden) has
AUTHSERVERIP=0:localhost,
TimtechSuperadministradorIn the Solution Explorer (top-right) window of Visual Studio, right-click on “LUNI Server” (directly underneath “Solution ‘LUNI Server’”) and select “Properties”. Navigate to “Configuration Properties” > “C/C++” > “General”.
What is “Additional Include Directories” set to?
TimtechSuperadministrador@chookstao Hopefully. Enemies will take some work by the developers (which doesn’t include me at this point, thus I have no clue really) but I have seen a little bit of work on missions and quests. Don’t expect anything soon, though…
TimtechSuperadministradorSure @Alanzote I added them to https://luniserver.com/info/world/ so I hope @LegoClub got them right.
TimtechSuperadministradorNo clue when anything will be added though.
TimtechSuperadministradorSpaceship Entrance is quite cinematic. I also like the Frostburgh and Shooting Gallery tracks.
TimtechSuperadministrador@tigerstar144 you can easily launch the .jar file as long as you have Java installed. Then, just follow the instructions be locating your 0.5.1 installation, choosing a character, and choosing a world.
TimtechSuperadministradorThe concert area was one of the areas that pwjones has all the packets from. This means that by sending all of these static packets, we can spawn the NPCs. However, from what I understand, finding out which packets spawn the NPCs and more importantly how to edit that to spawn more NPCs is not easy.
TimtechSuperadministradorWell you could actually discover the mission names by ID in locale.xml.
