Hey, I’m really glad I found this but after I downloaded the ‘nexus2.zip’ from the “Direct Download” on Mac OS X El Capitan I tried to unzip the file with the default mac program for zips and stuff, and it said that it didn’t exist or something. I have done stuff in the terminal that I’ve seen online about zip files not opening or whatever.
I also have a Lego Universe disc from when the game used to be official, would that work? I don’t really want to add the extra stuff on my computer unless I know that it will work. Thank you!
I use Bootcamp to run Windows on my Mac and LUNI works! Try it out! 🙂 Hope this helps
I would rather not use anything like parallels or bootcamp because I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with them.
I’m assuming it’s not possible to just use my old lego universe disc from like 2010/11 and it would work, rigth?
Nexus2 don’t work on Mac at the moment. If you won’t to play it you need something like bootcamp. If you really don’t won’t to download it you can always wait for the developers to come up with a Mac version.
Your disc won’t work. It will try to download all the fils needed to run it from the LEGO. And Lego doesn’t host the fils anymore.
Little did you know, official LU on Mac was using cider (a VM) to let you play. And unfortunately, the CDs are highly incomplete. So you should try some virtual machine if you want to play on Mac, or ask @CDFalcon @Jon002 or @Lego-king who have all run LU on their Mac.
Alright, I guess I’ll have to wait for a couple weeks until my new Windows is delivered.
Thanks all!
