Hi LUNI Moderators! I have downloaded version 0.6.3 of the server, and ran into a problem that I have seen elsewhere on this forum. I can create my character, but the venture explorer world loader stays at 0%. I read somewhere on this forum that it had something to do with the server files, and not the client. I plan to compare server 0.5.1 and 0.6.3 side by side and see if 0.6.3 is missing anything. If it is, is it safe to edit 0.6.3 so it has the missing part? Or are 0.5.1 and 0.6.3 too different to do that? Any help is appreciated. Thanks for the work you guys put into this, I plan to start learning the necessary programming languages so I can help after I finish with C#.

Hi AceOfSpades,
Short answer: I think so.
Long answer: It should be, the worst thing that can happen is a server crash. Be prepared that there are many differences between these two versions. With 0.6 MySQL is introduced and much other things changed, but feel free to try out!
By the way, LUNI is coded in C++ and MySQL. LU uses RakNet, so take a look at that as well.
As long as you hope, you can.

P.S: We have a community chat on skype, add XYQuadrat to get in.
Thank you!

Some users noted that they could only get 0.6.3 to load worlds in the “Debug” compilation mode, probably due to files that are in the Debug folder and won’t get detected by the release EXE.
Thanks for the input Timtech. I gave it a shot and got the missing .dll error window you get if you don’t have the redistributables. However, I downloaded them and Visual Studio and do not get the error when I run the release version of the server. Is there something I need to move into the source folder?
