Quick question. Why are servers currently listed as unsafe TimTech?

LEGO Universe Reborn should be safe due to us having captchas and we have a safe forum website set up by a company itself.

Sorry, but this is simply wrong. Have you even READ the public server requirements? Then you’d know why its listed as UNSAFE.

@Egmo A captcha only stops you from being targeted by bot’s. The type of encryption that is used for storing passwords is not safe and under Xipho’s rules needs to be changed.

Take A look at Xiphoseer’s public server requirements. https://xiphosia.wordpress.com/lu-public-server-requirements/

The encryption method used by the server is reversible*, which can cause attacks like the one that happened to Jonny. You have to use another type of encryption that cannot be exploited in this manner.

    *using a rainbow table.

@kee225 it appears someone on this forum actually knows a think or 2 about security.

    Will miracles ever cease? 😉

@CDFalcon I was the one who found the exploit. 🙂

@kee225 found the exploit? as in first discovered it? Because most password hashes can be cracked with a rainbow table… Very few cannot. Just depends on the length, as I am sure you know.

You were that one LUR dev that knew what he was doing though, weren’t you? The one who got NPC’s working?
Sent you a PM on this site btw.
