I assume you mean LUNI for mac? If so great!
If you are talking about the client, great to, but less so 😛 (already been done)CDFalconParticipantGreat post! 2 thumbs up. If you are a noob please do yourself a favor and read this.
November 28, 2015 at 4:06 pm in reply to: What do I open to start my Public Server with Visual Studio? #2365CDFalconParticipantOkay no.
My friend you need to do some major work on your forum. First off, disclaimers for Lego. Second full credit to the LUNI team. Third… please think this through. Just… do those 2 things.CDFalconParticipant@Xiphoseer yes joni is basically the only one, as he was my partner…
CDFalconParticipantI would say this is my favorite “Top 10 Things LUNI Newbies Ask”
No offense, I too have suffered this error 😛
Move it to system32…(in Windows in C:/ in your computer 😉 ) that will fix it.

CDFalconParticipant@Xiphoseer annnnndddddddddd I forgot that law applies to here… And yes, I only wrote that because I know I hated it when I reset my database…
CDFalconParticipant@Techtrix I had a personal server network that I ran about 5 different servers off of… It cost about 200-300 USD a month, HOWEVER nothing nearly that big is needed. You have a few options to lower the costs though… You could localhost it and then portforward it (however if you went over your bandwidth for the month. you would be fined). I would recommend a 30 bandwidth 512 MB of RAM server. Or just 256 MB if you want a smaller one. Also. you will have to run 3 separate servers, so keep that in mind.
Also, seeing a lot of farewells. They are appreciated. However, let me clarify something: I am not leaving LUNI. I am simply taking a break from developing. Most of the devs are busy with other things in life, so not much progress is happening anyway. But thanks anyway 😛

CDFalconParticipant@Timtech (@webman3) thanks, I really wish I could have done it for longer, but life had a different plan for me 🙂

CDFalconParticipant@Cazboy10 I assume for a normal person the biggest error would be cost. As for the bugs, you really just have to know how to handle them…
CDFalconParticipantWell glad you understand 😛
CDFalconParticipantI dont know @Xiphoseer, that seemed like a decent metaphor to me 😛
CDFalconParticipantYes, or a sub-forum for each server on my CMS… Glad you approve.
CDFalconParticipant“Don’t like it at all. Should be focusing on actually getting more people first. This situation happens a lot with growing games, there’s some type of “create your own, invite your friends” kind of thing, then the whole game declines because the people are so scattered across tiny servers. Idea is okay but too soon right now. Get functionality in, or at least hold this to one side until the community is stable and growing at a larger rate. Also, people would probably make their own servers instead of paying to host one. Not too difficult”
Okay point 1 is we will be divided over small servers. Roughly one out of every 100 people on this project( by some calculations I made on skype) will create a server. Do that math. The odds of us being divided are ridiculously slim…
2: people will host their own servers… So why aren’t they? And are you trying to tell me that hosting a server is nice, easy, and free??? Because it really isn’t. Why do you think I am doing this? It is for people to not have to go through the trouble of creating AND hosting their own servers…

CDFalconParticipantJust saw Knight and Tim’s posts.
To Tim: If you register for one server it transfers all data to each other server (main advantage of one Database)
To Knight: Yes. This is my “big mountain”. As for forums, no, no CMS’s will be hosted, just the normal site. But yes, your points are my biggest problems, however I do believe they can be fixed. I am considering, as you said, multiple columns, and other things
I am glad to see so much feedback! Keep it coming, I really want all pros and cons on the table before i commit to this 🙂
CDFalconParticipantGlad to see the support! And now to answer a few questions:
Would you have to update and patch the server? No. Not at all. Whenever a new update comes out I will auto-update the server.
@ItsCliffNotes, no, you will not have to do anything. All you have to do is get on and play. You will have admin commands and other permissions, but unlike Minecraft, commands do not have to be given through a consul (if they are given at all!)Hope this clears somethings up 🙂
