KeymasterI also think you all are making a mountain out of a molehill. Just because a customer service rep gives a vague answer instead of an affirmative rejection doesn’t mean LEGO Universe will re-open. The costs of moderating such a complex game were just too high for the LEGO marketers to pass along to the players. I mean, it was already $10/mo, and free-to-play only increased the player load.

KeymasterGood idea, Frosty. I changed the General Discussion description to “Discuss LEGO Universe.” to broaden possible topics. I am also open to adding different forums to the structure, so let me know of any more ideas 🙂

KeymasterYou have most likely either entered your credentials wrong or have a problem with access permissions. Make sure your SQL location is localhost instead of 127.0.0.1 (or maybe you should try 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost to force a TCP/IP connection) if you are accessing locally to avoid a TCP socket permission issue. Also make sure username and password to the database are correct, and that file permissions are 755 or similar so you can read and write.

KeymasterWhy develop a project that is closed source and will not be released, other than to keep the public confused and be admin of the only public server?

KeymasterIf you need upload access for the high-res picture / .eml I can give you HTTP or FTP upload permissions based on file size.
P.S. Xiphoseer, why did you join DLU? It is a closed source project, isn’t it?

KeymasterThe CMS will guide you through the process of connecting to a localhost SQL database. Have you successfully hosted the .sql using XAMPP?

KeymasterAll public servers are offline right now. You can check the status of public servers at the bottom of this page.

KeymasterVisual Studio is the only program you can use, the .sln is what you open, and for automated registrations use the UniverseLauncher CMS.

KeymasterCredit to LEGO is important, to LUNI not as much since it is GPL. Still, if you want to host the server you’ll need to be able to compile the project. You open the project through the .sln, other than that good luck 🙂 we don’t give support for unreleased versions, check the rules before asking again.

Keymaster@fbis99 in boot.cfg make LOCALE=0:en_US (basically the opposite of this YouTube tutorial).
