Hi everyone,
I have recently attempted to create a sever using the public sever files on GitHub here:https://github.com/LUNIServer/UniverseServer . After hopefully doing all the steps right, I finally got to the main menu and was able to login to my account and create a character. After creating my character I was able to click play and get into the loading screen for the Venture Explorer, but now I’m stuck at an infinite 0% loaded screen. I reinstalled the sever file twice. I’m not sure what it could be but I did experience some strange things while setting up my sever. The first thing I noticed was when I had to debug the sever, It says I have to open the project in Visual Studio. I’m not sure if I debugged the right file or not but the file I did debug was „LUNI Server.vcxproj“. When I opened the file up in VS, the first error I got was that LUNI Sever.exe was missing in the Debug folder, I’m not sure why it’s not there in the first place, what I did was I took LUNI Sever.exe from another sever file and I put It in the Debug folder. Next it said that libmysql.dll was missing, so I did the same thing. It seemed to work and it launched up the console but I still had a few errors. Two of them said „#error: Macro definition of snprintf conflicts with standard Libary function declaration“ Project: LUNI Sever File: stdio.h. Not sure how to fix these nor am I sure if these are causing any problems but if anyone knows how to fix these please tell me, if you need to know more info about the errors let me know. After that I launched XAMPP, went on phpmyadmin and created an account there, also created an account in the console after to see if that would make it work, opened LUNI Sever in the Debug folder and launched my client, the client I use is Blast Client 1.01 and you already know what happened next. I’ve been trying to get this to work for a couple of days now and I’m not sure what to do anymore. I also spent a little time trying to get the version 0.6.0+ severs to work but phpmyadmin was not letting me inject the .sql database files. Something else I probably did wrong was creating a profile wit ids and stuff like that. I’m not really sure what to do anymore but ill read all suggestions on what I could do to fix this. I’m probably forgetting a step or not doing something right, Please help!btw I just want to make a sever so I can mess around with the commands.
Thank you,

Oktober 18, 2016 um 7:11 am Uhr #6927TimtechAdministratorHello @darhex
Your topic has been moved to Help and Support, and re-opened. In the past, through both a mod-only vote and a community vote, we decided that help should be extended to the 0.8 series of servers. However, this does not guarantee that anyone will help you, it just means that we now accept questions regarding this version of the server. Since you indicated this is merely a private server, your question should be fine.
As for your questions, the „Debug“ folder contains the LUNI Server when it’s compiled in Debug mode. To discourage people from using the LUNI Server without first having to compile it, whoever uploaded that code simply deleted the LUNI Server debug executable so you would have to re-compile it. Adding an exe from somewhere else to replace it is useless, because it will not work and it will simply be overwritten when you compile it again.
As for the rest of your issues, I am really not the person to ask. I have only used Visual Studio maybe 10-20 times in total, and I am by no means an expert.
Good luck!

I would like to let you know that I was able to get to the main menu and character creation by putting a LUNI sever.exe file from another sever. But when I try to load into the game that’s where I get the error. The same thing happens to some of the 0.6.0 + severs, the 0% loaded into the game error, or I get like some .dll error when trying to launch LUNI Sever.exe and it says that I have to reinstall the program to fix it, which does not fix it and I didn’t expect it to. I’m not near my computer right now so I can’t tell you the name of the .dll. Also have you ever got one of the 0.6.0 + severs to work your self or do you know if they are working? I have a link to the master sever in my first comment.
If you didn’t understand something in my message you can just ask me, I kinda wrote this in a hurry, thank you!Oktober 20, 2016 um 8:34 am Uhr #6938TimtechAdministratorI definitely remember that I got the 0.6.3 server to work, but ever since I uploaded it, I got errors trying to download and set it up again. I know for sure that 0.6.0 and 0.6.2 are bugged so don’t waste your time with those.
Have you installed Visual Studio Express 2013 for Desktop yet? I assumed you had, but if you haven’t, it should fix your .dll issues.
Just so you know, the 0.6 series requires XAMPP but might need a different database file (which should be included with the server).
