0.8 is not at a point where it is ready for a release yet. This is the main reason why we don’t provide support for it ourselves. However, whatever tutorials out there are not wrong, but we can’t encourage them on this site yet. The moderation powers for the forums are granted to the developers themselves, who may not take so kindly to those who do what they are told not to, and that may have been what was „shut down“ as in closing the tutorial topic. Personally I would encourage all efforts for 0.8, but it’s not my choice to make 🙂 please don’t let this deter you from the project – it will release someday (not soon).

The topic how to set up wasn’t taken down because it told HOW to set up 0.8. The tutorial was rather clueless and just fed the confusion.
