0.8 is the build used for public servers and has not been released. We do not provide support for non-released versions and thus it is not in the list of official releases.
P.S. On 0.6.1 and 0.6.3 (if you can get past the bugs) you can play as your own character.

If you downloaded nexus2.zip via torrent, make sure to right-click and Extract All before you run client\legouniverse.exe
What client did you download? Also, you must be running client\legouniverse.exe directly, since the patcher does not work.

I mean the „Creation“ is really people who created the server (of course I didn’t mention every contributor), while „Evolution“ is really false promises of making the server better… 😐

Unfortunately, none of the public servers are currently available. They’ve been down for some weeks now, so if you want to play right now you’ll have to get a server running yourself. I highly recommend 0.5.1 since it doesn’t require you to host an SQL database yet it allows for world travel. You can use Jonny’s Easy World Changer, also on the downloads page, to switch worlds on 0.5.1.
