DLU Question (I promise it's not stupid)

Hi!
I might be new here, but in reality I’ve been with Luni for about 4 months now. I just never checked my spam mail for registration. So I was never registered.
I’m here now, but that’s beside the point.This is really important: I do NOT want to know when we can see gameplay of DLU or when a website will be made or when the first release will be or anything like that.
I’m not an idiot, I know I’d get shut down immediately.Here is my extremely simple question:
Can someone, who IS currently working on DLU OR at least has access to the devs, confirm that DLU IS actually going to happen?
That’s it. That’s all I want to know. DLU could be released tomorrow, next week, next month, or in 5 years. I don’t care. All I want to know is if it’s actually going to happen.
Anyway, I may sound like kind of a douche but I’m actually pretty chill with most people.
In my opinion, I would agree with the people that decided to move to DLU, some of the people on these forums are just awful.
I just wish they would at least say that “hey we’re not doing luni anymore we decided to move to DLU” instead of just taking off and leaving us with just some little slivers of hope through rumors.
But whatevs. Like I said, it doesn’t matter to me as long as LU comes back.

Err, I cannot confirm that DLU is “going to happen”, but what I have heard is that it uses proprietary physics (Havok Physics) so the server itself allegedly cannot be released in compiled form or as source code. This means that they will be the only people that can develop or host a DLU server. As for a max player base, I have heard that it will be around 40 if it is “actually going to happen”, and it will be very hard to obtain one of these 40 slots… so I wouldn’t have high hopes for DLU at this point.
Why could it only be up to 40 max player count?
I mean sure they don’t have millions of dollars to keep servers up but only 40 players?
From my understanding, that server with the 40 max player cap would be a public beta and would eventually be “Upgraded”, if you will, to a much higher player cap later?
But that’s just what I’ve gathered from many hours on these forums and others.
I don’t know, maybe I’m just be really optimistic simply because I really want it to happen

see that’s what I initially thought.
40 was for closed beta or testing or whatever, not the “official” thing.
I’m part of the DLU team, and I think the apropriate answer to your question is that DLU is as real a project as LUNI, the only difference being that LUNI code is out there and DLU code is not.
