Hello all,
I’ve almost setup a working server. There’s a ‘config.default.ini’ in the Env folder and a ‘config.ini’ in Debug. I then renamed the “LUNI Server.exe” to “LUNIServer.exe”. All Is well, I run ‘–auth’ and ‘–world’ but then when I try connecting it says INCORRECT_PASSWORD. What could this mean?
What server version are you using?
I assume you mean you’re trying to connect to the server from the client. It sounds like you are using a more recent version that requires you to register accounts into your local database (register from the server console, or you can use the official web interface) before you can connect.
Great job so far, and I hope you will be able to get your server fully set up!
Thanks Timtech,
I’m looking forward to a successful launch. The server will be called TPLUS and everyone will be welcome.
By “the official web interface” I assume you mean the ‘UniverseLauncher-Master’? I’m beginning to learn BASH so I’m unfamiliar with the whole ‘command line’ thing. Respect that I’ve gotten this far in only a few days with the help of kee225.
I registered a user and password through the LUNIServer.exe located in Source/Debug, then closed and reopened ‘LUNIServer.exe –auth’ and ‘LUNIServer.exe –world’. When I try connecting it still displays ‘User has INCORRECT_PASSWORD’. I hope this will be resolved shortly.
Sincerely,
Sean.
Nothing is resolved because it’s not being developed anymore.
I’m not sure how to help with the password problem. Maybe you’re mixing two different hashing methods or something. And yes, I meant UniverseLauncher-Master for the web interface.
