That’s a question that always has bothered me since LU closed. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love PC gaming and plan to build a new one soon, but what would LU be like if it had transferred to console?

I know certain game that have transferred to consoles from PC have been completely and utterly saved by a new community on Xbox or PS4.

Take Elder Scrolls Online for example, not a perfect game at launch, but I play actively on Xbox One and I genuinely love it. It’s definitely made many improvements, but also it’s been saved from sales hell. ESO actually was set up to close down, but consoles saved it (last minute too). It’s pretty crazy. Personally I like to think LU should’ve gone to other platforms because many children prefer controllers to keyboard gaming.
I myself really like controllers. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s kind of a lingering question.
    What would’ve been different?

    Would be cool.

Though it would be easier to port it to a phone or tablet rather than a console.

It might have actually made it another year or two, or even further than that. Think about it, PCs aren’t really appealing to the Teenager/Child market, to most it would seem too expensive and too complicated, so if LU was on, say, the XBOX 360, a larger audience would be captivated, and a lot of people would have played it.

Also porting a MMO to the Phone or Tablet would have not been a choice because, firstly, MMOs aren’t built around handhelds, but PCs. When was the last time you saw a true MMO on the Phone/Tablet? Secondly, the Phone/Tablet gaming audience is very casual, LU would have shut down much earlier as barely any Phone/Tablet gamers I know of are interested in MMOs.

    My Opinion anyway.

LU Probably would have been much more popular on console. Of course, we can’t be sure of it because many people thought the game would blow up on PC, but I would have loved to see it ported…

P.S. @Lego king IIRC someone made it so you could play it on tablet by streaming the screen onto a tablet and using the built in keyboard…
